What are Powder Brows?

Powder brows, also known as permanent makeup or PMU, is a cosmetic tattooing technique that is used to fill in areas of sparse eyebrows and create an even, natural looking appearance. The powder brow method uses a specialized machine to deposit pigment into the skin on a very fine level, giving it the look of powdery makeup. The technique creates a realistic-looking makeup effect and requires very little maintenance after your 6 week touch-up. We use topical numbing cream for all permanent makeup services. Powder brow are HGSW preferred technique to create well defined brows.

Microblading Vs Powder Brows

There are several different techniques for achieving defined brows, such as hair stokes microblading, and powdered brows. Microblading uses a handheld tool with tiny needles to draw individual eyebrow hairs onto the face; powder brows used a tattoo gun to create a soft customized makeup effect. Each technique has its own advantages and disadvantages, so it’s important to book a consultation with your tattoo artist in advance to go over what is your desired outcome. The main difference between powder brows and microblading is that with powder brows the ink is deposited into the skin on a much finer level than microblading. Microblading leaves hair strokes that are more defined than the soft make up effect of powder brows. Powder Brows is a better options for clients with oily skin, as oily skin has a tendency to kick out the pigment that is deposited with the microblading technique. Additionally, because of the way the pigment is applied in powder brows, it does not need to be touched up as often as microblading requires.

Who is a good candidate for Cosmetic Tattoo’s?

Most people are good candidates for cosmetic tattooing, however there are some exceptions. Those with a history of keloid scarring, those that are pregnant or lactating, people that have very sensitive skin or those who have recently used Accutane should not get permanent makeup. Additionally, individuals who are prone to cold sores or herpes simplex virus may need to take antiviral medication before receiving a cosmetic tattoo.

What is Lip Blushing?

Lip Blushing is a cosmetic tattoo to enhance your lip color. The process begins with an artist applying a numbing cream to the lips, which helps reduce pain and ensure that the client remains comfortable throughout the procedure. Next, they will go over the lips with a lip liner and lip blush pencil in order to create the exact hue and shape desired by the client. Once this part is complete, they will use specialized needles to apply pigment into the dermis of lip skin in small amounts until a subtle and natural-looking lip has been achieved. Lip blushing can be very rewarding for those looking for attractive and long lasting lip color that emphasizes their unique beauty. Lip Blushing can also be used to lighten dark pigmented lips or even out uneven lip pigment.

What are Cosmetic Freckles?

Cosmetic freckles are small dots of pigment that are used to add a speckled effect to the face, usually around the cheeks and nose area. This technique is perfect for those who want to create a more natural-looking sun-kissed freckled appearance.

What is an eyeliner tattoo and lash line enhancement?

Permanent eyeliner is a great option for those who have difficulty applying eyeliner or just want to save time in their daily routine. This type of cosmetic tattooing involves depositing pigment into the lash line and across the upper and or lower lid, creating an even, long-lasting look. This technique can also be used to make the eyes look more awake and vibrant, as well as enhancing the shape of the eyes. Eyeliner tattoos can be customized to be a very thin line or a bit thicker and can also be customized to include a wing. A lash line enhancement is more subtle version of a eyeliner tattoo. Lash line Enhancement Tattoo is a form of cosmetic tattooing that is used to enhance the appearance of your lash line. It works by adding pigment within the lash line, making the lashes look thicker and fuller. This makes the eyes stand out and more defined, allowing you to achieve a more natural makeup look. Unlike an eyeliner tattoo which involves inserting pigment into the lash line and extending above the lash line creating a thicker and more intense dark line, a lash line enhancement tattoo provides darker color at the root of your lashes for a softer finish. As an added bonus, it is specifically designed to bring out your unique features making your natural beauty shine. A lash line enhancement is a softer more subtle version of a eyeliner tattoo.
